So, you have a receding hairline and you are worried about it like hell? Well, let’s start with a small tip- massage your scalp. There is nothing new about this age old tip. Medical science has proved that what your barber did to your head after he was through with scissoring you hair mercilessly is clearly beneficial for the growth and health of your hair. Massaging stimulates the hair follicles and unclogs blocked oil glands giving you a healthier scalp. And a healthy scalp means healthier and stronger hair.
Now that we are over with the time, it’s time that we talked about the commonest kind of baldness. This is the kind that indicates advancing age. Most of the time this kind of baldness, in both males and females, has genetic reasons, but may also be caused due to hormonal imbalance. In such cases, correcting hormonal imbalance can put a stop to hair loss.
Correcting hormonal imbalance helps prevent hair loss, during pregnancy. Shortly after child birth many women start losing hair rapidly, and then the fluctuation of hormone levels is naturally controlled and the hair growth comes back to normal. The medical inference drawn is that hormonal imbalances can cause hair loss and this kind of hair loss can be corrected by correcting the imbalance.
You may, therefore, go to a dermatologist and take his opinion on whether or not your hair loss is a result of hormonal imbalance. If, after the tests, he finds so, you may go for a treatment to cure hormonal imbalance. And if your hair loss has got nothing to do with your hormones, look for some effective hair loss product.
Forget not, all hair loss treatments would take around six months to produce any visible effects. The tall claims of checking hair loss instantly are not exactly what you should go by. Have a careful look at the ingredients of the product. Find out how it seeks to arrest hair loss and then go for it. It is advisable that you approach a dermatologist for his opinion before trying any of the products. Better still, take his opinion on the product(s) you want to try. Once you get an approval from the doctor, you can safely use it.

Maybe you need a Gia Makeover!
When it comes to hair styles, there are so many different
options today to make changes. You can change your color, add
highlights, add bangs, add layering and even add length or
thickness with hair extensions. Makeovers are becoming more and
more popular as television shows such as ABC’s Extreme Makeover
outline how a makeover is done and drastic changes that can be
done. Hair stylist, Gia Wood of Salon D in Dallas, Texas
specializes in makeovers and hair extensions and is considered
Dallas’ makeover specialist. She has hundreds of clients locally
and many clients that fly or drive in to Dallas for her
services. One of her clients flies all the way from Spain just
to get her hair done. Gia says, “I find that clients who are
willing to drive or fly that far just to get their hair done are
the biggest compliment and the proof of my success.”
So what is this makeover fuss all about? Gia explains that most
of her clients have either been the victim of an inexperienced
stylist or have simply not thought enough about the change in
hairstyle they wanted and they are now stuck with something they
hate. Gia adds, “Most of my makeovers include color correction,
which can be highlights, color, gloss or all of the above.
Makeovers also include a haircut and style, along with makeup
application. The total process can take around 4 hours to
complete.”
Gia says, “When dealing with color correction, the first thing
every client asks me is ‘…how damaged will my hair be after a
color correction?’” Believe it or not, color correction is not
as damaging as it used to be. The old way of stripping hair
color out with bleach is history. Modern day products allow hair
stylists to remove ‘artificial pigment’ only, meaning that it
will not open, damage, or split the cuticle of the hair in any
way. This allows hairdressers to remove the most intense colors
from hair, and allow it to be re-colored in the same appointment
time.”
Gia will also offer suggestions for change in color and style to
fix any problems a client reports with their hair. “For example,
if a client has a brassy blonde color, I will suggest a bleach
highlight or an ash toner to offset the brass color.” She
explains.
Getting a successful makeover depends on the experience of the
stylist. Gia further explains, “My previous clients and even new
clients trust my experience level and let me do what ever I feel
like with their hair. Most of the time when I’m doing a
makeover, I am usually correcting another stylist’s color or
haircut. I usually ask my clients what or who they would like to
look like and to give a firm example of what they like and don’t
like. And, even if a client loves the way her hair looks, they
may be looking for a change to further improve their hair style.”
Photos of styles the client likes are very helpful to hair
stylists. Gia adds, “Clients and stylists have different
vocabularies. For example, Bangs. There are a thousand ways to
wear bangs.” Gia recommends bringing at least three photos of
the hair style you want so your stylist does not get confused.
Gia also keeps a computer at her work station to look up hair
styles online (such as a past hair style of a celebrity) if a
client does not have photos or cannot remember certain styles
they like. The computer eliminates the need for bulky portfolio
books.
“Once the client and I have decided on a style and color,” Gia
explains, “We discuss what it will take to get the clients hair
to that hair style.” Most of the time the exact cut and color
are achieved in one day. But Gia mentions that some clients that
are growing their hair out may take several months and
appointments to reach their overall goal. Human Hair Extensions
(human hair extensions are attached directly to the natural
hair) are also an option for clients that don’t want to wait for
their hair to grow out.
Gia’s makeover experience is well-documented on her website:
http://www.hairbygia.com Many before and after photo examples of
makeovers, including hair extensions can be seen for your
reference. Gia is quickly becoming the talk of the town with
recent appearances on the television show “Austin Nights”
(Segment can be viewed on her website) for her hair extensions
services. She was also interviewed for the Number One best
selling E-book by Hair Resources, 2005’s Most Popular Hair
Extensions and participated as a Judge in their Nationwide
Bridal Hair Style Contest.
In short, if you are sick and tired of your hair style and need
a makeover, a trip to visit Gia Wood at Salon D in Dallas, Texas
may well be worth your time, money…and happiness!

Someone told me that soaking your hair in lemon juice is the same treatment a salon gives you to strip your hair of build-up. I’m just wondering if this is true and if so, how do I go about doing this? How long do I leave the juice in my hair before washing it out and does it matter what type of shampoo I use to wash it out? My hair is already dry, would this treatment make it worse? I’m a natural blonde and over time, my hair gets a dingy look to it. I’m hoping this may be the ‘cure’ for that.
Apply lemon juice and honey mixture to the roots of your hair. Leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes. Shampoo and condition as usual.Adding honey to the lemon juice will prevent the drying effect of lemon as honey is a natural moisturizer.Honey will make your hair soft while lemon juice will prevent build up of shampoo residuals and add a sparkle to the hair.

Have you always dreamt of having hair that would be the envy of many? Well, real hair extension can help you get the hairstyle of your choice with élan. Hair extensions are locks of human or synthetic hair that are placed on an individual’s hair either to thicken or elongate the existing hair that they have. Real hair extension is a simple means through which one can incorporate the latest hair style that is in vogue. Real hair extension can add instant volume, thickness and length to your hair to give you a completely new style and look.
Hair extension can be of two types, real hair extension and synthetic hair extension. Real hair extension are natural human hair that you can make use of to get the style, feel and look which you have been searching for. There are some people who are simply put off by the thought of making use of real human hair to get a new hair style and appearance. Man made synthetic hair are a better option for many people and they make it a point that they go for synthetic hair extension as opposed to real hair extension. Nonetheless, there are many people who opt for real hair extension.
You are going to experiment with your hair and looks. So basically, you need to be very careful about what you are going to do with your hair and how far can you go to get the fashion and appear that you want. Real hair extension can turn out to be little expensive than your average hair stylizing processes. Once you have undergone the process and see for yourself the results, you will surely say that spending money was worth undergoing the process. Stylists receive specialized training from hair stylizing companies to be eligible to perform this process on individuals.
Someone can undertake hair extension due to several reasons. One reason can be to add volume, length and shine to their hair, while another can be to cover up really bad hair. Previously if you had a bad hair cut, there was no way for you to cover this up instead of wearing your hair just as it is, even if the cut is horrible. Now, you have hair extensions to take care of this and getting this process of real hair extensions is not a difficult thing at all. You can also get real hair extension if you have to attend some special occasion like a wedding, prom or any other event.
That is not all; you can get real hair extension just for the heck of having some fun. It would be wonderful if you could experiment with your looks and hair style from time to time. Any kind of change with your look will always make you look wonderful. Taking care of hair extensions and washing them properly is very important if you take proper concern of your Hair Extensions. With the due care required for hair extension, this can last for about two to four months.

Provillus has been boon for many men and women who suffer from hair loss. Yes I said women too! The company has two products, one specifically designed for men and one product for women. Both products are geared to stop hair loss and also regrow hair back. Provillus works to give both men and women the nutritional needs we need for a healthy head of hair.
Female Pattern Baldness:
There is no set pattern for female hair loss. Some women don’t start to lose their hair until later on in life, others find their hair thinning while they are relatively young. There are many reasons for women to lose their hair but the most common is hereditary thinning or alopecia it accounts for 95% of female hair loss.
Female Pattern Baldness (FPB) affects 1 out of every 4 women in the United States. Recent findings have found that the incidence of FPB has been reported to be as low as 8% and as high as 87%. And, it does appear to be as common for women as for men. Most often, menopause is the most frequent time for female hair loss to become apparent.
Provillus for Women aggressively seeds your scalp to create the optimum environment for new, healthy hairs. It supplies the proper nutrition to bring dead hair follicles back to life or prevent hair loss from occurring!
For women hair loss can be even more troubling than for men. Female hair loss is not generally accepted as part of the normal aging process. Society has come to expect a thick, luxurious head of hair as part of the attractiveness in women.
Male Pattern Baldness:
Hair loss and thinning hair have been sensitive issues for men throughout time. Recently, medical science has finally identified the main cause of hair loss. Now, it is a known medical fact that hair loss stems from both genetic and hormonal causes. Androgenetic Alopecia or “male pattern hair loss” is implicated in 95% of hair loss cases. The key is a hormonal byproduct called DHT (dihydrotestostrone). The more DHT that gets put into your body, the more your hair follicles become thinner and finer until the hair is permanently lost.
Provillus blocks DHT (dihydrotestostrone) from getting to your body, which is one of the major causes of hair loss. The Breakthrough formula of Provillus was designed to block DHT and supply the proper nutrients to your body specifically tailored to prevent hair loss and to help you regrow hair naturally. Strong, healthy hair begins with the proper nutritional building blocks. You don’t have to wait until there’s a problem to prevent it! Provillus supplements your body’s natural supply of these nutrients and lets the tiny follicles beneath your scalp receive exactly what they need to create beautiful, full-bodied hair.
