Hair Extension in Nyc: Say Goodbye to Bad Hair Day

Posted by admin under Hair Extensions

Hair extension is a relatively new method that can be used to give you an entirely different look by changing your hair style. Hair extensions in NYC done by professional hair stylists are ideal to increase the length of your hair, to add volume to your hair or simply to give you a new hair style. Hair extension can also be done if one is suffering from severe hair loss due to any reason or simply if you have had bad hair cut.

The technique of Hair Extension in NYC and other places has evolved a lot and come a long way since the time it was first tried out for stylizing hairs. Many new procedures and innovations have been used since then. So these days, you do not need huge amount of time to get your hair extension done by a stylist. With hair extension, you do not need to apply color to highlight your hair, rather you can use colored hair extensions to get the color that you always wanted to have on your hair. In fact, hair extension is a great way of giving your hair an attractive hairstyle.

There are different methods through which hair extensions can be applied on your hair. It is advisable to talk with your stylist and tell her in advance if you would like to use any particular method for putting hair extensions. Hair extensions can be put through the use of coils, through binding and also by using certain chemical glue. Both human hairs and artificial hairs can be used for the purpose of hair extensions. However it has been found that among the two types, human hair extension is a better option.

Once you have done hair extensions you must take care of the extensions, if you want them to stay good for a long time. Stylists will always advise you not to wash your hair immediately after getting hair extensions. Ideally, you must wait for two days after getting hair extensions done to wash your hair. Make sure to implement all the tips that your stylist has asked you to do and use all the aftercare products that she or he has suggested you to use. Make sure that you avoid scrubbing your scalp very hard and also take care not to wash your hair by turning it upside down.

After getting Hair Extensions done, it is best to avoid using hair dryers to dry your hair. Once you have put hair extensions, you can grow them to your desired lengths and stylize them as you prefer. Professionals are very good at bonding hair extensions that you will not even feel that you are using extensions. It will be good if you meet your stylist and find out whether you are a good candidate for hair extensions or not. You must understand that hair extensions are not meant for all.

Going for human hair extensions is the best for you. You can find human hair that suits your hair texture and color perfectly. Human hair extensions are expensive compared to other types of artificial hair extensions.

  1. amy Said,

I want to dye my 100% human clip in hair extensions, how long do I keep the dye in?
My step mother and I are going to be dyeing my 100% human clip in hair extensions. They are a dark brown and we’ll be dying them black. We’ll also be dyeing my real hair black. How long do we keep the hair dye on the extensions. In the directions it tells me to keep the hair dye on my head for 25 minutes. And some additional tips would be nice.
    Thank you & goodbye.

I think you should keep the dye on for your extensions for the same amount of time. Since its human hair it should be the same time requirement. Also, the color you are using gives you an advantage because it’s the darkest color the palette. So you are not going to have problem with different shades.

    All the best

The best result is 30 minutes to 1 hour if you want to have strong color. The more you soak it longer the more it will last for 6 months or even more than a year,it depends upon the kind of hair color what you’re using. Just choose the best brand,in my experienced,my mom’s hair are almost turns into white and she wants to color it black so i fix the color and brush it in her hair, and leave it there for 1 to 2 hours, and it lasted more than a year.
Just remember after applying the color don’t cover it,let the fresh air dried it. Because if you put some cover on it,perspiration from our nits will mixed with the color that will result to weaken the color of your hair. Some beauticians used hair dryer after applying the color and leave it there for 30 to 1 hour, then rinse it thoroughly and dry it again, you will see the result. But if you want to have light color just minimize the time of leaving the color into hair and the mixing of the color.
    Hope it can help.

It really depends on the dye you use, so read the directions carefully. I’m a professional stylist and I would say about 30 minutes should do. Black is easy to see when it has developed. Make sure you use a permanent dye though, no semi’s or demi’s. Good Luck.
